Asked and answered
The questions families and funeral homes ask us most. If yours isn't here, call — a person answers.
How much food should we order for 50 people?
It depends on the menu style and how long the gathering runs. Tell us your guest count when you call or send a quote request, and we’ll help you land on a quantity that avoids running short or over-ordering. Many of our per-person menus set a minimum of 25 servings.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies?
Yes. Vegan and vegetarian options appear on several menus already, and we can work around most allergies and dietary needs — tell us about your group when you order.
How much notice do you need to place an order?
We ask for at least 3 business days’ notice to place an order. If your timeline is shorter than that, call us directly — we’ll do what we can.
Can I still make changes after I’ve placed my order?
Yes, with at least 48 hours’ notice before the event. Call or email us with the change and we’ll confirm it.
What is your cancellation policy?
Orders under $1,000 need 48 hours’ notice to cancel; orders over $1,000 need 7 days’ notice. A cancellation fee may apply on late notice.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes. Weekday catering has a $500 minimum order, and weekend catering has a $1,000 minimum (not including fees or taxes). Most individual menu items also carry their own minimum serving count, shown on each menu page.
Do you offer drop-off catering, or full-service with staff?
Both. Drop-off catering arrives set up and ready to serve, with no staff required. Full-service catering includes servers, available at $40/hour per server with a 4-hour minimum, plus gratuity and a travel fee depending on location.
Can you deliver to a church hall or community centre?
Yes. Church halls, community centres, and funeral homes are all settings we cater regularly, and we coordinate directly with venue staff on timing where that helps.
What areas do you deliver to?
We deliver across the Lower Mainland, including Surrey, North Delta, New Westminster, White Rock, Langley, Aldergrove, Coquitlam, Burnaby, Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Ladner, Vancouver, North and West Vancouver, Richmond, Tsawwassen, and Abbotsford.
Is there a delivery fee?
Yes, based on distance from our kitchen: roughly $40–55 for Surrey, North Delta and New Westminster; $55–75 for White Rock, Langley, Aldergrove, Coquitlam, Burnaby, Maple Ridge and Ladner; and $75 and up for Vancouver, North or West Vancouver, Richmond, Tsawwassen and Abbotsford. See our Contact page for the full breakdown.
Your office hours are Monday to Friday — can I still order for a weekend event?
Yes. We cater any day of the week, including outside our office hours. Our office itself is staffed Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm. If you call or email after 4pm, we’ll get back to you first thing the next morning; over the weekend or Friday evening, please allow until Monday.
Do you provide rental equipment, like chafing dishes or tables?
Yes. We can arrange rentals on request — let us know what you need and we’ll quote it alongside your catering order.
Is packaging included in the price?
A $2.49 per person packaging fee applies to all orders, covering platters, foils, containers, and serving utensils. Disposable plates, cutlery, and napkins are provided free of charge.
Do you cater both small family gatherings and large receptions?
Yes. Our menus scale from small family gatherings to large receptions — guest-count minimums vary by menu and are shown on each menu page.
